Two Chinese men were arrested in the United States of America for trying to sell organs for transplantation. The organs were supposedly removed from executed Chinese prisoners. On sale were lungs, livers, a kidney, a pancreas, corneas and skin. They were being sold for as much as $5000 - $30,000. Amnesty International has long held that organs harvests and trade in transplants from executed prisoners is common practice in China. In 1996, 4367 people were executed in China. Of the 2000 kidney transplantations done in China every year, up to 15% involved foreigners. A gross violation of human rights!
